Laura Ingaham Puts The Hammer to Tom Harkin

Laura Ingraham did a number on Harkin this morning and I don’t think the voters of Iowa escaped unscathed either. Laura quoted from the Des Moines Register article in which Harkin states his belief that John McCain has a warped world-view. She goes on to talk about our men in uniform and really makes Harkin look bad by expanding his claim to encompass all of our brave fighting men. Ooooo, now she is really on a tear. If I heard her right, she just called liberalism a sickness, after coming back to this subject for a second go-round. If only we had more people like her running for public office. Back to the main subject, Laura ends by saying something about getting people to vote for you when you have a head full a mush. An apt description of Harkin. I didn’t see any real reference toward Iowa in this, but I hope the people of Iowa are listening, especially people like myself that want to get rid of this guy for good.

Ignorant PBS’er Charlie Rose keeps the Anti-American Flag Waving High

Just got done watching Charlie Rose on PBS. He had on Peter Matthiessen, author of the fictional book Shadow Country. I know nothing about this book and probably don’t want to know after reading part of FrontPageMag.com’s expose of Teresa Heinz Kerry’s leftist charity and it’s dealings with Matthiessen. These kinds of creeps that hate America are the type of people that Rose loves to feature on his show. I really don’t get this guy. He seems like a really nice guy, but it just seem that the guy is lacking some sort of moral compass or something. He’s had on George Soros, Noam Chomsky, and I think Howard Zinn. These people are the absolute lowest forms of life. It really pisses me off that American taxpayers have to foot the bill for this garbage.

I’d love to ask McCain about this. You just know he’d give you some sort of mealy-mouthed answer. I think this is something that Conservatives should really start pushing for. Of course we’d probably never be able to get rid of PBS. But we really need to start pushing for some sort of balance on that channel. I mean, we’re paying for it too, right?

Frontline Does it Again- Another Left-wing Hit-job

Well, you’ve gotta’ hand it to PBS’s Frontline. They are very consistent in offering up red meat for the rabid left. The actual show is called Frontline/World, a sort of spin-off that occasionally takes the place of the normal Frontline show on Tuesday nights. It’s a news magazine format that typically covers three stories and they often feature interesting stories from around the world. But the first story that aired tonight was about corruption among border agents. The reporter, Lowell Bergman, purports that the amount of money in the smuggling trade has greatly increased since the U.S. has started erecting a wall and increased our level of border agents. This seemed to me to be largely speculation, although, I’ll grant that it might very well be true. The report was very blatant in it’s assertion that the wall and other measures have only increased smuggling. This is an interesting theory, and I have no problem with Frontline/World reporting on border agent corruption or increased smuggling, but this story takes a typical left-wing slant. Wall bad, open borders good.

I did agree with one person in the story, who I believe was a Mexican, that alot of these people are desperate and this problem may be more difficult to fix than some might imagine. It doesn’t help though, that there are so many open border advocates, even in states such as Texas. Apparently the Senators from Texas managed to water down the border wall bill. This was the assertion from Duncan Hunter on the Glenn Beck show (see video). Frontline is capable of doing some really good work, but the slew of left-wing episodes they’ve done trying to tear down the administration is enough to get this conservative breathing fire. I expect one day soon we are going to fix PBS’s wagon.

Does Obama Support Gay Marriage? ( Or McCain For That Matter)

I found an interesting article on the CBS News website with this title (sans the latter). Of course this has never been a question to me. In my considered opinion all of the Democratic leadership supports gay marriage. Remember the story of ‘King and King?’ This book being used to teach second grader about homosexuals ramming each other in the ass ( If you don’t like my language, go to hell). Well, I don’t know of a single Democrat presidential candidate who came out against this book. Obama, Clinton, and Edwards all supported the use of this book for teaching second graders. These people are simply lying through their teeth when they say they don’t support gay marriage.

Now we come to the issue of McCain. I heard McCain say he would support the court decision no matter what it was on the issue of gay marriage. I think this statement by McCain just goes to show how shallow the man is. This is not a man of core conservative principles. And his voting record in recent years how how liberal he has become. These courts should not be supported in their radical agenda of trying to remake the country. But McCain is showing more and more every day that he will do anything to win a vote. Ronald Reagan must be turning over in his grave. They should be opposed in every way by a government that is ‘Of the People, by the People, and for the People.’

Message to Republicans: Shut the Hell Up!

I have been listening to the non-stop gushing over Sen. Ted Kennedy and I have to wonder what is wrong with these Republicans who are doing this. Look, I hold no ill will toward the Senator, at least as far as his health is concerned. Unlike the fascist Left who who are unbridled in their evil intent toward conservatives. But this man has been a one man disaster in the Senate and in the Democratic party. This all goes to the heart of the corruption in the Senate. When they talk about it being a club, it’s not an exaggeration. I want the Senator to get well, but unlike corrupt Republicans in the Senate, I don’t want to see him back there. Senator, it is time to retire. You are well past your prime. You and your ilk have done more damage to this country than any epic volume could recount. And if you don’t believe what I’m saying about the Senator’s prime, then watch this:

Gingrich Blasts McCain-Lieberman

Newt Gingrich was just on Fox and Friends and he called McCain-Lieberman the “Chinese full employment act.” That was great to hear. That kind of talk will go a long way toward making amends for starring in that Algore funded garbage with Nancy Pelosi. This should make conservatives feel good. And McCain should wake up and take notice. We aren’t going to lay down for his liberal agenda and I think there are enough Democrats that won’t vote for this garbage that McCain is going to have his hands full if he’s actually able to claw his way into the White House.

I am really on fence on whether he can actually win this thing. I mean I just really don’t think McCain is a very smart guy. Every time I turn around the guy is saying something stupid. Remember when he went in front of that group of black people and talked about not supporting the Martin Luther King holiday? I mean, why? What was the point of that. Fine, go and speak. But why bring something up that is just going to piss people off. And then McCain just ends up looking like a total idiot with this dumb smile on his face while people are booing him. It’s really too bad we didn’t have better candidates this year, but it almost seems like there is a dearth of really standout people in the party now. McCain is a really rotten Republican presidential candidate, but the alternative is to awful to even contemplate.

Battle Lines for the Senate are Being Drawn

The other night I had Fox News on late and a political ad came on for a this guy who is running against Tom Harkin. Well, you can imagine that got my attention real quick. I am so happy to see someone in the hunt against Harkin. His name is Steve Rathje (pronounced Rothje?, I forget). The website is SteveRathje.com and it hits all the right notes, at least for a conservative such as myself. I have already been in touch with the campaign. I sent them a link to a webpage where Harkin actually admits that, quote, “Frankly, I have a similar problem with Barack Obama”, Harkin went on. “Look, the guy is a liberal. I have no problem with that. How could I? I was the most liberal guy in the Senate until he took my crown.” With jewels like that laying around on the surface, you’ve just gotta’ know that there has to be better stuff out there on this guy. I would love to find a good copy of the video where Harkin talks about welcoming the day human cloning comes. You X-Files fans may remember this footage of Harkin being used in an episode. It is so emblematic of what an extremist this guy is.

Apparently he is not an extremist in every respect, otherwise I doubt he could keep getting elected, but this guy definitely has some major vulnerabilities. Here in Dubuque where I live, I doubt that he’s ever lost a vote, since this is a big Democrat stronghold. But this is also what I would call a pretty conservative town. We need to hit Harkin hard on the abortion issue here in Dubuque, and related to that is the issue of the Supreme Court. Harkin voted against John Roberts nomination to the court, a man who is absolutely impeccable in every regard. But none of that matters to Harkin. Harkin probably couldn’t cast his vote fast enough in favor of another left-winger in the Ginsberg mold.

So, I’m keeping my fingers crossed and I’m gearing up for the battle. Any other troopers out there ready to join me in the battle? if there’s one thing we do know about Democrats, they hate war, no matter what the objective. But, ironically, the Dems are the ones who started this war by their unbridled lust to return to power. If we Conservatives ready ourselves for the battle the way Conservatives should, there is no way they can win. And this fight against Harkin is one I don’t intend to lose.

“May God have mercy upon my enemies, because I won’t.”

Debra J. Saunders on Conservative Obstinacy

Debra J. Saunders has an excellent article out today which goes down the laundry list of ways in which the conservative movement has been beating the Democrats at their own game. I was prepared to hate this article before I even started reading it because so many of these articles seem to simply be an excuse for the writers to bash conservatives who have principled opposition to John McCain. But Saunders makes an excellent defense for how much we have been able to accomplish just in the last few years.

Even with Bush heading into his final year in office he has been able to stick it to the democrats at every turn. And yet it seems that many conservatives are ready to ‘cut off there nose despite there face.’ I say openly that I don’t like John McCain. I think he is an arrogant, self-righteous man and if he ever got into my face I would explode like Mount St. Helens. I also believe that conservatives are going to be faced with a loss of power in a McCain presidency, because I do not see McCain backing down in the face of conservative opposition the way Bush did on Harriet Myers.

I’d say that we are stuck between the proverbial ‘rock and a hard place,’ but I think that would be stretching the truth somewhat. I believe that Clinton and Obama are so dangerous that we can not risk letting them get into office. The Supreme Court and Iran are just two issues that make it too important to allow democrats back into power. I believe that if we let the democrats regain control of the Presidency, especially while they still control Congress, we are going to see change that we can not even begin to imagine. Remember, these are the people, every single democrat presidential candidate, who said they have no problem with second graders being taught about Harry and Larry ramming each other in the caboose. To hear this and yet still believe the democrats when they say they oppose gay marriage is simply laughable on it’s face. My only hope is that the conservative movement comes to it’s senses and unites in the face of this threat. The alternative is simply too grave to even contemplate.

Time to ex-communicate the Archbishop of Canterbury

So, the Archbishop of Canterbury says that we should just accept the inevitable and let Sharia law be practiced in the west. This should be a wakeup call to Europeans about what happens when liberals are put into these types of leadership positions, but it won’t be, because this type of lunacy is rampant in Europe. The people of Europe have been born and bred into this type of thinking. I’m not saying most Europeans are going to be siding with this nut-case about Sharia law. I’m talking in more general terms. For instance, the anti-Americanism that is rampant in Europe, Canada and elsewhere is a good example. There are many in these countries, and I am talking about a very large number of people, who believe that America is a scourge on the world and that we are the source of most of the worlds problems. I will grant you, though, this may be changing somewhat with the rising belligerence of Iran. It appears that many Europeans are afraid of Iran, but this is another example of the absolute rampant amorality in Europe. The people of Europe are cowards to a large extent who will only rise up to defend themselves when they are on the brink. Unfortunately, we here in America aren’t a whole lot better. We act as if the death toll in Iraq of Americans is a the most disastrous thing that has happened to our country. Ten times that number die on American highways every year. And what did they die for? Nothing. The Americans in Iraq have died for a cause. But I’m not defending the absolute ineptness of the Bush administration in prosecuting the war. Let me just end with a quote from a great American:

It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank God that such men lived.

Gary Zukav, Hillary, and the Socialist Nanny-state

Here’s more on Gary Zukav for anyone that is interested. The Watchman.org has an interesting article that clearly portrays Zukav’s bizarre belief system. Here’s a sample:

Zukav goes on to say, “When we say of an action, ‘This is right,’ or, ‘That is wrong,’ we create negative karma.”6 While the author pleads for compassion he has torn away the possibilities of correcting social evil. Contrary to Zukav’s view, the man may be lying in the gutter because he is an alcoholic, he may lie there because he is poor and ill and the foundations of society (i.e., the church, community and government) have failed in their duties. It may be the sin of the individual or the sin of many individuals, but there can be redemption because it is judged sin. The biblical understanding of sin and redemption is quite different than Zukav’s of human action. Jesus in the Gospel of Luke tells the parable of the two men who went to the temple to pray. Only the tax collector was justified because he humbled himself and prayed, “God, have mercy on me, a sinner!” (Luke 18:9-14). In the book of Hosea, God pleads with a whole nation: “Return, O Israel to the Lord your God. Your sins have been your downfall! Take words with you and return to the Lord. Say to Him: ‘Forgive all our sins and receive us graciously, that we may offer the fruit of our lips’” (Hos. 14:1, 2).

This isn’t so much bizarre as it is just typical liberal stupidity. And, I might add, evil. Taking away responsibility from the individual is, I believe, one of the greatest evils that liberals are perpetuating in our society today. This is the kind of indoctrination that is going on every day in our grade schools, high schools, and colleges. It’s one of the reasons why we need to break the backs of the teacher’s unions. This is why we need to forge ahead with a voucher system that will give us the freedom we need to raise up a patriotic, conservative, Judeo-Christian society. This is the last thing liberals want. They don’t want you to have the freedom to raise your child in whatever way you believe, within reason of course. I believe Hilary’s book, ‘It Takes a Village’, is a good example of how liberals want to raise your children for you. While, in theory, the warm and fuzzy idea of a village uniting together may sound like a great idea, the actual underlying theme of Clinton’s book is the creation of a socialist nanny state. The whole idea is to take away your rights as a parent. Clinton says that no one should think of a child as their own. They should think of them as society’s child. This just goes to show how radical Hilary Clinton’s thinking is. This isn’t what this country was founded on. And this certainly puts the lie to the falsity democrats are trying to spread of people like Hilary being faithful, believing Christians. These people believe in an all-powerful government. Not God. I don’t know about you, but I plan to fight tooth and nail against of any of Clinton’s radical ideas being adopted into law. This is the kind of war we conservative were born to fight.

Here is a link to an article by Phyllis Schlafly about the out of control nanny-state messing with your parental rights. I think you’ll be outraged by this:

It Takes a Village… To Undermine Parenthood

Michael Sheur- “I’m an Anti-Semite”

18/05/09 0 comments
OK, so he didn't say that he is an ant-Semite. I'm not sure where to start with this guy. He basically thinks we should just let all hell break loose in the Middle East. This guy has a really warped mind. I've heard him make statements about wiping people out that would have made Stalin proud. He definitely has a chip on his shoulder when it comes to Israel. You can see the anger in his demeanor when the subject comes up. This guy really is a weasel in so many ways. He has this arrogant way of calling everyone "sir" that really gets on my nerves. I just hope hope most people understand that the road this man thinks we should take is the road to hell. If we don't back up the Israel against the genocidal Iranians, then we have no doubt learned nothing from history. And deserve reap all of the consequences.

Liberalism is Evil

O'reilly just had left-wing whack-job Ellis Hennican on. It was a continuation of the pounding that O'reilly gave Hennican last week on the waterboarding issue, minus most of the verbal heat. Still O'reilly really showed the kind of lunacy that the left and the Democrat party is dealing in these days.

O'reilly made the comparison, which I have heard others make, of the fact that while Obama is against waterboarding, he is at the same time blowing up innocent people in Pakistan along with the terrorists that are being targeted. Hennican came back with some mealymouthed B.S. about how these are difficult moral issues, but apparently to morons such as himself there is much less moral ambiguity to dunking a few maniacal terrorist or to the thousands of deaths that could have occured if said dunking hadn't taken place. I.E., dunking terrorists bad, dead Americans good. I think all of this moral relativism being displayed by the Left is the centerpiece of the liberal cult I believe this group has grown into. Ann Coulter was the first person I know of to write this story up and publish it in her book Godless. I still haven't gotten around to reading Godless. i tried once, but the introduction in the book was all over the place and I read a review later on that said once you get past the Introduction, the book takes off gloves and we finally get no-holds barred Coulter.

So, back to my point, that Liberalism has grown into a cult. Let's just take the issue of abortion. Abortion is one of the holy grails of Liberalism. As I've grown older I've truly come to revile abortion for the evil that it is. But, if Liberals were honest, they would say that they see nothing evil about abortion. Some would be, most of the so-called Catholic Dems who support it would never be honest about it. I'll never be able to understand why liberals are so married to this issue. There is no real stigma attached to a woman having a child out of wedlock in this day and age. Certainly nothing like it was before abortion became the law of the land. And so, there can only be one explanation for it. Convenience. Yeah, right. Convenience? I can't really even to begin to fathom how libs can, in their own minds, manipulates the facts and come to the conclusion that adoption shouldn't be the number one option for pregnant mothers. This all about convenience. Because it allows these woman, who are for the most part simply irresponsible people, to not make the tough choice and give their child up for adoption. I think another reason that Liberals see little if anything wrong with abortion is Evolution. Let's face it, if we are only hairless apes, and we are related by blood to every living creature on the earth, then it isn't much of a stretch to go from believing life is sacred to believing babies are disposable.

Evolution is the second holy grail of liberalism. I can't say that I've fully understand this issue. I'd say that most of the people who say they are one hundred percent convinced on this issue don't know what they are talking about. I am only convinced of this: That humans are not the product of evolution. Animals may or may not be another story. The Bible is clear that there was an Adam and Eve and they sinned. If there wasn't and they didn't then the Bible is simply a bunch of lies. Christ never would have had to come back and die for our sins. Either that or he died for ever living creature on the face of the earth. Oh, yeah. That makes sense. It probably would make to sense... To a liberal.
